I'm Tired of this Energy Bill!!
Normally at the beginning of the New Year, you are seeking ways to save for the upcoming year. Some of you started in June or December of the previous year. You wanted to get a head start. How many always start with the notion that "I have to do better in the area of savings!" You're so disappointed in yourself. You start out strong! You have great intentions You still tell yourself in June that you have time then before you know it, it's December AGAIN! There are many areas of life in which we can save.
Let's start with energy! Electricity? Do you have this bill to pay? Gas? Do you have to pay this bill? Of course you do! Do you pay it month after month? There are folks that may be having difficulty paying their mortgage but I bet you that their lights are on! Think about it. When you leave the house, do you cut your refrigerator off? Of course, you don't! So electricity is being used constantly and daily! So why not save on THIS bill!
Since you have to pay this bill every single month...month after month after month! Wouldn't it behoove you to see how you can save on this bill? Are you aware that you don't have to stay with your current Energy provider just because you have been with them for years? Maybe you did not know that! Well, guess what? You can leave! You can tell them "Bye Bye!"
Join a company that offers you so much more! Does your current provider offer you competitive rates? Does your company offer you a FREE gift JUST for enrolling? Do you have a FREE website? Are you rewarded for paying your bill monthly other than sending you another bill? If your provider does not offer you all of that, find out how you can get all of the above and MORE!
Ambit Energy would love to hear your success story on how we helped you save money on your energy bill. Ambit has many service areas! Why don't you see how we can help you save, starting TODAY! Don't wait!

52 Week Challenge
Everybody wants to do better for this upcoming year! Many are starting early to get fiscally in shape! I hear lots of buzz about the 52 week Challenge and I'm getting SUPER excited!
How do you like this challenge! I'm LOVING it! Start small! Many of us have difficulty just getting started! Well now you only need $1 to get started! Watch that $1 turn into over $1300 by the end of the year! Who wouldn't want to try this? Get ready! For the first week in January, you only need to deposit $1! ONE DOLLAR! YEAH! You can do that! Next week, you only need $2! Whatever week you are in, is the amount of money you would deposit for that week! In that 52nd week, VOILA! You will have saved ALOT!
Some of you may want to deposit differently. Well let's look at this method! How many of you get paid bi-weekly! Here's your schedule! Follow it with ease!
I've also seen others participate in the 52 week challenge yet they put a little twist to it! I'm loving it! Instead of starting with $1, they start with $52! So this way, as the weeks approach, you are depositing smaller amounts yet your savings is still growing! U like this idea?
You even have some folks that really make it more fun and exciting! What else can one do, you may ask! The 52 wk challenge itself if interesting. Then you can make it applicable even if you get pd 2x a month! To add excitement, instead of starting with $1, you can start with $52. I thought that was the epitome of all the excitement! When did saving money become SO fun! Well, one more option is waiting for your approval! What about this----write $1 to $52 on different slips of paper. So, now you have $1 on a slip of paper, $2 on a slip of paper, $3 on a slip of paper, and so forth until you get to the last scrap of paper via writing $52. Then each week, you randomly pull one of those pieces of paper, and that's the amount you deposit for that week! WOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! How ya like THAT option!
For those of you that are saying, "I'm really liking this 52 wk challenge and I would love to save over $1000 in one year but I'm not sure I can do it...", Well, I've got a trick up my sleeve for you! Saving the amount of money equal to the week number isn't for you? It's OK! Starting in reverse doesn't even have a chance? Don't have time to write on 52 pieces of paper, find something to put the paper in, copy the chart, find a highlighter, etc? Well, here's your answer, FOLKS! All you need to do to participate in the 52 week challenge is .......SAVE $26.50 PER WEEK! Yep, that's all you will need to do and you will come to the same result as following the other options! Well how can that be? It's simple. $1378 divided by 52 is equal to $26.50. So you deposit the SAME amount for 52 weeks STRAIGHT! How simple is that! Voila! You're a winner with some CASH at the end of the year!
Well I can't wait to hear how well you are doing with this challenge! Be sure to let us all know. We are all eager to see how others are doing and which method works best for you. So, let's get a GREAT start for 2014 and get fiscally FIT!

Take the First Step
YES, 2013 is almost over and 2014 is right around the corner! Are you ready! Are you in a better place NOW than when you started in 2013! Are you in a more worse position! Are you shocked that you have done so very little this year? Are you happy that you have progressed so far in just one year? Surprised or shocked?
So what are you going to do differently this year? Do you have any idea? Well, let me help you. It's not over. Don't even beat yourself up for not accomplishing ALL you wanted to for the year! It's okay. This is your new day! Get busy and make the change. What are some things I can do to have a different look at the end of this upcoming year.
First, work with the end result in mind. You know how you want the end of your year to look like, then take the pic. Focus on that ending constantly. My former Mary Kay Director would say "That which you focus on, will expand." Focus on where you are going. Act like that which you want to become. You can do this. Write it down. That is truly priority. You MUST write everything down you want to accomplish!
Many of us want to change our finances. We want to do better. WE want to have more. Well, let's take the first step! Become a $5 Challenge Person! What is that, you may ask? Here it goes!
1. Designate a purpose for your savings. Why do you want to save this money? Once you designate that purpose.
2. Get 12 envelopes and write one month on each envelope.
3. Place the $5 bill in the respective month's envelope everytime you get a $5 bill! At the end of the year, count your $5 bills and use it for the purpose that you initially designated it for! Voila! This challenge is so much fun. Let's say you go to the store and spend $3. You give the cashier a $20 bill. You know you have $17 coming back and $17 you can spend on something else. Well, the cashier in turn ives you (3) $5 bills and (2) $1 bill. Now, you have $2 to spend instead of $17 because, those (3) $5 bills go in your envelope! Isn't that something! Get ready! Try it! You will be glad you did!
Another idea is the 52 week challenge! This challenge allows you to start small and send great results at the end of the year. Just begin by depositing $1 in week ONE, then deposit $2 in week TWO, then $3 in week THREE and so on. By the end of your 52nd week, you will over ONE-THOUSAND DOLLARS!
One last savings idea is to save all your loose change! Anytime you have loose change, just place it in a jar and watch it grow! Small change adds up to big dollars! I know you can do it!
Some of you may begin with all three! Some of you may have already tried some of these ideas, so share them with others. If something is good, then share it! Let's make the world more fiscally responsible. Let it start with YOU!

HOLIDAY TIME - EARN MONEY NOT SPEND IT!
It's time to make a change! Do you have to wait until Jan. 1, 2013? NO, MAKE A CHANGE TODAY! What are you doing differently now from what you did last year? If your answer is nothing, then that is exactly what you will get. NOTHING! So, change your thinking! Watch what happens! You will amaze yourself! You have to take the step though. Sitting around doing nothing and feeling sorry for yourself is NOT the answer. Making excuses of why you are not where you are is NOT the answer. Saying what you should have done yet did not do truly is NOT the answer. So, have a GREAT 2013 and start anew!
I believe in YOU!

Finances First!
Well, we truly had a very productive 2nd meeting! Everyone was so excited to come back and we even had some "newbies" in the bunch and we're so glad they came. It is evident that when one truly wants to make changes, then they take a stand. These women are serious about their finances. We're so grateful to Trina for her leadership. She wants to empower so many women and she's starting with us. Thank you Trina!
Remember, PAY YOURSELF FIRST! This is so crucial! It starts with you so pay you first. If you havent been doing this, then start today. Remember, you should have at least 10% of your gross in your savings at all times. It's not too late. BEGIN TODAY and get your finances in order!
Additionally, PRACTICE MINDFUL SPENDING! Let's say you spend $16 per day on food/drinks 5 days a week. Do you know that is $80 per week and $320 per month! Do you really want to know how much you are spending per year just going out to eat! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Is that mindful spending! Many of us love to shop online! QVC and HSN are best friends for some one us right! During Christmas time, I dont have to worry about parking places, long lines, shoving and pushing, etc. I just shop online. Some of us love it SO much that we overspend. Try Regions Pre-Paid Visa Card. The amount you have on your card is all you can spend. So now you have a limit! Maybe you could even use it to teach your child, relative, etc about finances. Children love going to the store and spend someone else's money. Give them the Regions Reloadable Pre-Paid Visa Card as a gift. Not only is Trina helping us in the arena but also check out how Russell Simmons is helping out as well.
Be sure and contact Mr Johnnie at Stonefield Air Conditioning and Heating for PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. Dont wait until the last minute to get your AC and Heating checked out! Let Mr Johnnie keep you on track so you can feel good! Take care of your finances FIRST!
Not only can Mr Johnnie make sure your AC and heating is on point but American Home Shield can be a good friend of yours, too! Homeowners, when emergencies arise, your bank account does not always have the amount you need so we have to plan ahead. American Home Shield is here to help you when things go wrong at home like the refrigerator is not cooling, washing machine wont work, etc. See how they can help! It's a MUST!
Be sure and get a safe. Protect important papers. Have them all in one place. Insurance policies, birth certificates, wills, etc. NOTE: Ensure you have a Payable on Death (POD) person. Plan ahead and avoid future hassles.
Getting our finances in order requires inventory. We need to know what's coming in and what's going out. Visit this site and feel the wakeup call. Get started today!
Next week, we look forward to hearing from Ms. K. Penn, Mortgage Loan Officer!
Dont forget, FINANCES FIRST!

Are You Ready Ladies!
Ladies, it was SO good to see all of us SO hungry for the information that Trina provided for us! Everyone was attentive, studious, and eager to hear more! I just know that all of us have written down our goals to achieve for 2012 and they are a bit scary. Remember, that's where your growth lies. Dont set goals that you know are attainable. I'm eager to get this savings account going and having more money than month! Being broke takes energy. It's alot of running to the bank. It's waking up in the middle of the night. It's continually writing down the same bills with the same amount of money coming in, etc. III John 2 says "....prosper and be in good health" God doesnt want us like broke, busted, and disgusted. Also, remember, what you talk about you bring about. So, let's talk with an abundance mentality and not a scarcity mentality!
Kennisha did a wonderful job informing us about Arbonne, a nationally all botanically based company. She gave us alot of information that we did not know. When you have information you can make proper decisions. When you dont know, you tend to misjudge! So let's take heed that we need to take care of our bodies. That's important. It's our body! If weight loss is a goal for you this month, call Kennisha. If taking care of your skin better is a goal, call Kennisha. If you are looking for a Plan B and you can see yourself helping others in this endeavour, then CALL Kennisha! Just make it happen!
I cant wait for our next meeting! I look forward to seeing all of you and I know there will be much excitement in the room! Let's do this yall! Let's encourage each other. Be someone's motivator! You know folks are going to be "hating" on us right. But guess what "Haters ARE your motivators!"
