2015 -- I MUST DO BETTER!

Of course, we all say it! I'm going to do better next year, but do you? What do you do differently? Anything? Well, we want you to actually do better and see results at the end of 2015. First of all, dont wait until the beginning of 2015 to start a change. Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready! I have some ideas for you to choose from to have a better year than last! Let's get started! No matter what, you have got to have an accountability partner! Get someone that will hold you accountable to your dreams, visions, etc. Some people feel this is so silly yet it's important. Many times, we feel like we're adults and we can take care of ourselves. Just someone being in your corner pushing you to reach that goal is a much needed asset. When you think about deviating from the goal and your accountability partner calls, then you're back on track! Thank goodness! Let's say you set a goal that involves calling folks. You try and lessen the number of calls.
Your accountability partner is there to push you to make that call and more. He/she is there to push you to do things out of the ordinary. Maybe you keep saying you're going to write that book! You know you are not designating enough time to writing it! Guess what, that accountability partner may get on your nerves but you will become more cognizant of your goal and the work needed to make it come to fruition! Secondly, do something different. Okay, so you have been saving! Good for you! Well, this year take it a step higher. This year, complete more than one savings program. Have two or more programs and stay diligent and true to the program. Share your programs with someone else. What else can you do? Step out of your comfort zone. Increase your savings. $25 per month can be increased to $50 per month. Sounds scary? It's okay. You grow when you stretch your goals! Give back. It never hurts to give. Give your time to a youngster, elderly person, student having trouble with Mathematics, etc. Give back. You will feel so good for doing so.
Clean out your closet. You are not going to wear those clothes this upcoming year just like you didn't wear them last year. Give them to someone who needs them. Maybe a church member needs them. Maybe someone can use them at a shelter. Maybe you can just drop them off at Goodwill. What you dont want is someone else's treasure. Share. Give. Share. Give! Make 2015 your best year yet! Get started! Dont wait! Become a better you and make the world better.

Take the First Step

YES, 2013 is almost over and 2014 is right around the corner! Are you ready! Are you in a better place NOW than when you started in 2013! Are you in a more worse position! Are you shocked that you have done so very little this year? Are you happy that you have progressed so far in just one year? Surprised or shocked? So what are you going to do differently this year? Do you have any idea? Well, let me help you. It's not over. Don't even beat yourself up for not accomplishing ALL you wanted to for the year! It's okay. This is your new day! Get busy and make the change. What are some things I can do to have a different look at the end of this upcoming year. First, work with the end result in mind. You know how you want the end of your year to look like, then take the pic. Focus on that ending constantly. My former Mary Kay Director would say "That which you focus on, will expand." Focus on where you are going. Act like that which you want to become. You can do this. Write it down. That is truly priority. You MUST write everything down you want to accomplish!
Many of us want to change our finances. We want to do better. WE want to have more. Well, let's take the first step! Become a $5 Challenge Person! What is that, you may ask? Here it goes! 1. Designate a purpose for your savings. Why do you want to save this money? Once you designate that purpose. 2. Get 12 envelopes and write one month on each envelope. 3. Place the $5 bill in the respective month's envelope everytime you get a $5 bill! At the end of the year, count your $5 bills and use it for the purpose that you initially designated it for! Voila! This challenge is so much fun. Let's say you go to the store and spend $3. You give the cashier a $20 bill. You know you have $17 coming back and $17 you can spend on something else. Well, the cashier in turn ives you (3) $5 bills and (2) $1 bill. Now, you have $2 to spend instead of $17 because, those (3) $5 bills go in your envelope! Isn't that something! Get ready! Try it! You will be glad you did! Another idea is the 52 week challenge! This challenge allows you to start small and send great results at the end of the year. Just begin by depositing $1 in week ONE, then deposit $2 in week TWO, then $3 in week THREE and so on. By the end of your 52nd week, you will over ONE-THOUSAND DOLLARS!
One last savings idea is to save all your loose change! Anytime you have loose change, just place it in a jar and watch it grow! Small change adds up to big dollars! I know you can do it!
Some of you may begin with all three! Some of you may have already tried some of these ideas, so share them with others. If something is good, then share it! Let's make the world more fiscally responsible. Let it start with YOU!

Can't Save - Start with $5!

How many of you have difficulty saving? How many of you WANT to save but just can't do it? Every year does it seem like you have a bill to pay at the end of the year and never have the funds? What about those homeowners dues? What about Christmas gifts? What about school fees? Well, I have a fun savings program for you to being right now! It's called the $5 Challenge! First, designate a purpose for this savings. You should always know your purpose. Grab 12 envelopes. Place one month on each envelope. Everytime, you get a $5 bill, you place it in the respective month's envelope! So, why not get started today! I have many friends that have done this previously and I have friends that started in Jan 2013. We are having SO much fun saving money! A gentleman that started this year has a friend who saved over $1k in one year putting away her $5 bills! So, I say start today. You will definitely have more at the end of the year than what you started with. Let's do this! Keep us posted on how it goes!
