Pennies A Day!

52 Week Challenge! Loose Change Challenge! Save Every $5 you receive! OMG! There are so many different savings options! Well maybe none of those options appeal to you! Maybe you don't even know what the 52 week challenge is! If not, this is what it looks like!
Loose Change Challenge! We all can participate. Everytime you get some loose change just drop it in a drawer, box, jar, etc. Watch and see how all that change adds up. We don't realize how much money we spend daily, weekly, and/or monthly. Eventhough we all can participate, maybe you still desire another challenge besides the loose change challenge! The amount you can save is UNBELIEVABLE!
Now, saving those $5 bills, surely adds up! Everytime you receive a $5 bill, save it! Don't go to the bank and ask for $5 bills. Just wait until you receive a $5 bill and place it in one of your 12 envelopes. See what you're going to do is decide on why you are saving the $5 bills first! Maybe you want to take a trip, buy furniture, take a cruise, etc. Well, that's your purpose and that's GREAT! Then, get 12 envelopes and write one month on each envelope. Everytime you receive a $5 bill, you place it in the respective month's envelope. At the end of the year or end of your "purpose", see how much money is saved! I've seen folks you have saved $300, $500, $700 and even $925 in one year!
Let's check this savings program out! It's simple! How much is needed to get started? Not alot at all! Drum roll............................ONE PENNY! Yep, that's it! Just one penny is all you need to get started. All you're going to do is save one penny on the first day, then two (2) pennies on the second day, then three (3) pennies, etc all the way through the last day of the year! Doesn't seem like alot of money but check out how much you can save following this method! Happy Savings!
Maybe it's a little challenging to save one penny, then two pennies, then three pennies, etc. So you can deposit or save 10 days at a time, 5 days at a time, 30 days at a time, etc. I know these totals can really help you out! Start TODAY!

A mere $5 can go an extra LONG wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Ask some folks that have participated in this challenge before! Some have save from $300 to over $900!
It's so simple! Designate a purpose. Why would you want to save these $5 bills? To help with your child's schooling? To take a trip? To go shopping? To travel? To bless someone at Christmas? To get ahead on some bills? You make that determination FIRST. Then get you 12 envelopes. Write one month on each envelope. Each time you receive a $5 bill then you place it in the respective month's envelope! That's all you do! How much do you need to start?

Take the First Step

YES, 2013 is almost over and 2014 is right around the corner! Are you ready! Are you in a better place NOW than when you started in 2013! Are you in a more worse position! Are you shocked that you have done so very little this year? Are you happy that you have progressed so far in just one year? Surprised or shocked? So what are you going to do differently this year? Do you have any idea? Well, let me help you. It's not over. Don't even beat yourself up for not accomplishing ALL you wanted to for the year! It's okay. This is your new day! Get busy and make the change. What are some things I can do to have a different look at the end of this upcoming year. First, work with the end result in mind. You know how you want the end of your year to look like, then take the pic. Focus on that ending constantly. My former Mary Kay Director would say "That which you focus on, will expand." Focus on where you are going. Act like that which you want to become. You can do this. Write it down. That is truly priority. You MUST write everything down you want to accomplish!
Many of us want to change our finances. We want to do better. WE want to have more. Well, let's take the first step! Become a $5 Challenge Person! What is that, you may ask? Here it goes! 1. Designate a purpose for your savings. Why do you want to save this money? Once you designate that purpose. 2. Get 12 envelopes and write one month on each envelope. 3. Place the $5 bill in the respective month's envelope everytime you get a $5 bill! At the end of the year, count your $5 bills and use it for the purpose that you initially designated it for! Voila! This challenge is so much fun. Let's say you go to the store and spend $3. You give the cashier a $20 bill. You know you have $17 coming back and $17 you can spend on something else. Well, the cashier in turn ives you (3) $5 bills and (2) $1 bill. Now, you have $2 to spend instead of $17 because, those (3) $5 bills go in your envelope! Isn't that something! Get ready! Try it! You will be glad you did! Another idea is the 52 week challenge! This challenge allows you to start small and send great results at the end of the year. Just begin by depositing $1 in week ONE, then deposit $2 in week TWO, then $3 in week THREE and so on. By the end of your 52nd week, you will over ONE-THOUSAND DOLLARS!
One last savings idea is to save all your loose change! Anytime you have loose change, just place it in a jar and watch it grow! Small change adds up to big dollars! I know you can do it!
Some of you may begin with all three! Some of you may have already tried some of these ideas, so share them with others. If something is good, then share it! Let's make the world more fiscally responsible. Let it start with YOU!
